Journal article citations need to include the author, article title, journal title, volume & issue number, date or year and the page number/span you are referencing. The GS Turabian Examples handout will help you create a correct citation for the journal article you have. Here is a  sample citation for a journal article:

bibliographic entry:

Goleman, Daniel. "Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter more than IQ." New Yorker 25, no. 4 (1975), 24-27.

footnote entry

Daniel Goleman, "Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter more than IQ," New Yorker 25, no. 4 (1975), 27.
